Comfort Shoe Specialists is a Certified Pedorthic Facility and is professionally staffed by American Board Certified Pedorthists and Orthopedic Shoe Technicians. We specialize in Modern Shoe Therapy and the difficult-to-fit patient.
Assisting physicians in the successful treatment of their patients' lower extremities is Comfort Shoe Specialists first priority. We combine Modern Shoe Therapy with more than 120 years of combined experience in designing, constructing and fitting shoes and related foot-care products.

Edith James, Certified Pedorthist,
President. Since 1974 Edith has experience in the
pedorthic field. Edith
received her education in pedorthics from New York University. Edith
has written many articles and lectures to related
health groups. She has attended the annual Pedorthic Symposium since 1991 and visits the Western Shoe Association in Las Vegas twice a year
for shoe buying trips and continued education (NSRA Class of 2003).
She is also a member of the Pedorthic Footwear Foundation since 1999. Edith is on the board of
NSRA (National Shoe Retailers Association) Edith opened Comfort

Gayle Walter, Insurance Specialists, Office Manager.
Gayle files all of the insurance claims to Medicare for patient reimbursement
and United Health Care and HealthLink for those who are covered. Gayle joined Comfort
Shoe Specialists in 1994. She previously worked for a durable medical

Jeanne
Jung, Certified Pedorthist, Pedorthic Trainer. Jeanne comes to the pedorthic field with experience in the athletic industry. She has a Bachelor of Science
in Communication from Missouri State University. Jeanne joined Comfort Shoe Specialists in 1999.
Jeanne attended Ball State in Muncie, Indiana for her pedorthic
education. She has been a Pedorthic Trainer since January 2006.
Michelle Cain, Inventory Management Michelle
was a certified medical assistant before joining our team. She has had experience in inventory management since 1983. Michelle joined Comfort Shoe

Martha Bisher,
Certified Pedorthist. Martha is from Cape Town, South Africa and
will soon be a United States citizen. She worked
in stores that sold orthopedic shoes and appliances. Martha brings not
only an international flavor to our staff, but also has a sense of style
appreciated by customers/patients. Martha attended Eneslow Pedorthic
Institute in New York in 2005.
Jason P. Davis, Pedorthic Intern Jason joined us in 2005 with a background in therapeutic shoes and orthotic devices since 1991. He has worked with some of the top companies such as Edison Brothers, May and Brown Shoe Corp. He is a certified walking shoe specialist and has completed his formal training in over the counter orthotic fitting. He attended St. Louis Community College and attended Oklahoma State University of Okmulgee in Pedorthics.
Mark Allard, Orthotic manufacturing Mark Allard has been making semi-rigid and trilaminate orthotic devices since 1989. He has his own manufacturing shop off site where he makes some of the orthotics for Comfort Shoe Specialists.
Tara Clemons, Reception, Web Management, Medical Marketing Tara Clemons joined in 2007. She has over 10 years experience in customer service and a Medical Assisting diploma. Her email address is tara@comfortshoe.com
